Timelines (Medicine)

Timelines relating to the History of Medicine

Timelines relating to the history of medicine. These can be used to trace the pace of change (or level of continuity) over time. Learners may find them useful for revision purposes. They are easy to annotate with additional detail, or to highlight for key facts, themes and factors.

Timelines can also be used for learning activities. The events on each timeline can be used in Living Graph exercises to physically assess the significance of inventions and innovations. Events can be cut out and muddled for individuals, groups or whole classes to sort into order. Similarly the dates and events can be seperated to create sorting tasks. Again, these can be done as an active learning exercise to inject energy into a lesson, or via traditional cut, sort and stick.
